Blondie have announced High Noon, their first album of new material since 2017's Pollinator. The 13-track record arrives on February 26, 2027. Lead single Spectral Eyes is out now, with Johnny Marr supplying the song.

The band's announcement names Glen Matlock, Beirut's Zach Condon and Lucius singers Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig among the contributors. John Congleton and David Wrench produced the album. It also contains drummer Clem Burke's final recordings with the group.

A familiar name behind the new single

Marr's involvement is a return, not a first meeting. He wrote My Monster for Pollinator, which Congleton produced. Those credits give listeners a useful connection between the records before hearing the full new album: Blondie are again working with an outside songwriter and producer already part of their recent history. Wrench joins the production credits this time.

That continuity says more than treating every guest name as a new collaboration. It does not tell us how High Noon sounds as a complete record, and the announcement is not an album review. Spectral Eyes is the available starting point; the other twelve tracks remain part of the forthcoming release.

New work after a long gap

A long gap can make the return itself the headline, as it did with Everything But the Girl's comeback. Here, the distinction is also between new work and a catalogue release.

Unlike the Sing When You're Winning vinyl reissue, High Noon adds a new studio album to the discography. The release date is next February, not an album available in full today.
