Rosé, the internationally recognized singer of BLACKPINK, is preparing to release a brand new song for the highly anticipated Formula 1 film soundtrack, due for release this June. The announcement was made on May 1st when Formula 1, Atlantic Records, and Warner Bros. Films released the impressive list of artists contributing to the soundtrack. Rosé will bring a new, original song to the movie created exclusively for the film, adding to the momentum of her developing solo career. Most importantly, this marks her first musical release since she released her solo album Rosie on streaming platforms in December last year.
A Powerful Line-Up of Global Artists Joins the Project
Unlike past attempts for Formula 1 films, this production has gathered an amazing cast of international musicians. Alongside Rosé, the soundtrack features a diverse group of artists including Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy, Tate McRae, RAYE, Dom Dolla, Madison Beer, and Sexyy Redd. The collaborative aspect of this soundtrack is unique for the combination of genres and styles of music expected to reach a variety of contemporary audiences. Arguably, the best track of the project has already been released -- a fast-paced collaboration between Don Toliver and Doja Cat. Film Set to Blend Motorsport Drama and Star Power
The F1 movie promises a cinematic spectacle, slated for release on June 25 in the UK and June 27 across the US and Canada. Directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by heavyweights Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt, and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton, the film merges real-world racing authenticity with Hollywood storytelling. Regardless of audience expectations, Pitt takes center stage as Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 driver returning to help train a rising star, Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris. Together, they drive for a fictional team known as APXGP, aiming to capture the thrill and intensity of the sport on-screen.
