CHVRCHES have announced All The King's Men, their fifth studio album, for January 22, 2027. The 11-song record will arrive through Futures Music Group, with a North American tour beginning in February before UK and Irish dates in April and May.

The October 21 announcement gives the return a release date after September's single “Roses.” Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty regrouped following their break after the 2023 tour. Promoter MCD's announcement describes sessions held together in Glasgow, a change from the remote process behind Screen Violence.

A different room for the fifth record

The comparison is more specific than a long-awaited comeback. Screen Violence arrived in August 2021 and continued production remotely during the pandemic. For the new album, the trio met for repeated three-week recording stretches. The announced January release falls a little over five years after its predecessor, not six complete years.

MCD's public release also describes Cook turning toward acoustic instruments and the group drawing on British and Scottish culture. Those details explain the intended change in approach; they are not a listening verdict on an unreleased album.

Different editions do not necessarily mean extra songs

Rough Trade's listings show black, Apple-coloured and limited Clear Smoke vinyl alongside CD and cassette. The vinyl listings specify gatefold sleeves and printed inners. They do not advertise different tracklists. Unlike the Robbie Williams catalogue reissue recently announced, this is a new studio release; a coloured pressing is a format choice, not evidence of bonus recordings.

The tour opens in Philadelphia on February 13, reaches Glasgow on April 23 and finishes the announced run in London on May 6. For readers adding shows to a 2027 calendar already featuring Bon Jovi's BST Hyde Park dates, CHVRCHES' itinerary is a separate set of venue shows, not a festival appearance inferred from the album announcement.
