Taking one last breath of decency and then putting on their masks. Each party trying any trick to help their candidate rise above. Playing dirty crooked politics: the politician's one true love. Another candidate comes along to prey upon our fears. Get on your knees and brace yourselves for another four long years. It doesn't matter who gets in office. The people are the one's who lose. Because the lesser of two evils is all we get to choose. Public interest in the election process has reached an all-time low. What a painted candidate stands for no one can truly know. The majority now not concerned with answering the nation's call. Because a choice between right or left is no real choice at all. Are the people too intimidated to call our leaders' bluff. Or has a tired, mistrusting public decided that they've finally had enough. For centuries now we've cast our votes in the little ballot box. But whoever leads when it comes to change, all we get is talk. Another leader comes along, supposedly by our hands. A puppet stepping forward to meet corporate demands. These candidates already in office before we learn what they're about. And by then we lack the power to vote those people out.
