Verse 1
Jake was a Christian from a Christian school
His life began to change as he entered public school
He thought it would be fun, but instead it was cruel
He didn't think the stuff going on was very cool
It seemed okay as the first month went by
But time went on, he watched as people died
He felt his Christian dignity start to subside
As they constantly tried to make him want to hide

Pre-Chorus 1
All they did was lied and try to misguide
And all he could do was just attempt to abide
But the pressure just got stronger
And the pain just lasted longer
The hurt was unbearable
And his life was just terrible

Chorus
We've gotta stand up and form a vocation
We've gotta reform this dying generation
Resist the temptations and restore the foundations
Killing all the lies from these misinterpretations
x2

Verse 2
All the drugs and the violence, Jake had no clue
Of what in the world he could do
The ways of his school were so much different from his
He didn't want to stand out, his life was being quizzed
There'd never been a time like this in his life
But now he had to give up everything and fight
No matter what, he wasn't going to give into their ways
'Cause he knew that in the end, they would all have to pay

Pre-Chorus 2
All they did was lied and try to misguide
And all he could do was just attempt to abide
But the pressure just got stronger
And the pain just lasted longer
The hurt was unbearable
But God made it repairable

Chorus
We've gotta stand up and form a vocation
We've gotta reform this dying generation
Resist the temptations and restore the foundations
Killing all the lies from these misinterpretations
x2

Bridge
The world wasn't always this Satanically twisted
But, because of the world, righteous ways were not persisted
This generation transformed these truths to fiction
All these addictions have caused so much affliction
As Christians, we need to stand and lead an example
And repair the things which the devil has trampled
Restore the world's values to what they used to be
And save this dying generation so it can be free

Guitar Solo

Chorus
We've gotta stand up and form a vocation
We've gotta reform this dying generation
Resist the temptations and restore the foundations
Killing all the lies from these misinterpretations
x2
