Verse 1
In a world based on living by the eye
The favoured path appearing first, a universal lie
The trouble is these people find they're always running off
They've chased these twisted trails, soon to see that they are lost
They learn that everywhere they go is simply going nowhere
It's all a piece of fiction and the fix cannot be seen there
We've found no other hope outside of our perception
It's safe to say that this has steered our misdirection
Chorus
Although the narrow path appeared open to doubt
The faith we've kept has shown us what this walk is about
When we walk by sight, life's an unknown fate
But when we walk by faith, He keeps our pathways leading straight
x2
Verse 2
We need to learn to follow or we'll never settle down
We need to learn to just surrender, listen to the Crown
The judgment of our eyes cannot determine if we're wise
Human beings so error-prone will face no more than highs
The only way to really live is first to change our hearts
Honouring the Maker is where satisfaction starts
Living with devotion, it's one way or the other
We need to give up all our ways so we can live another
Chorus
Although the narrow path appeared open to doubt
The faith we've kept has shown us what this walk is about
When we walk by sight, life's an unknown fate
But when we walk by faith, He keeps our pathways leading straight
x2
