Savoy Truffle Lyrics

Crème tangerine and Montelimar
A ginger sling with a pineapple heart
A coffee dessert, yes, you know it's good news
But you have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle

Cool cherry cream, nice apple tart
I feel your taste all the time we're apart
Coconut fudge really blows down those blues
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle

You might not feel it now
When the pain cuts through
You're going to know and how
The sweat is going to fill your head
When it becomes too much
You'll shout aloud

You'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle

You know that what you eat you are
But what is sweet now turns so sour
We all know Ob-la-di-bla-da
But can you show me where you are?

Crème tangerine and Montelimar
A ginger sling with a pineapple heart
A coffee dessert, yes, you know it's good news
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle
Yes, you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle

This song is about how eric clapton loves sweets. Sweets are a metaphor for ladies. So eric is getting all these ladies right. The Savoy Truffle is a metaphor for George's wife Patti. You can tell George is pretty bitter about this song. Also songs like "While My Guitar..."
I feel bad for ol' George. No one likes to be messed around on.

I heard on the radio that Eric Clapton was a friend of George Harrison who wrote this song. At the time, Clapton was addicted to Heroin and one effect of that is that he could only stand to eat sweet things, which of course leads to tooth problems.

This is a love song, but about food. Like all love songs, it talks about how beautiful the girl is, and how she's so sweet and you're always thinking of her. But she has a dark side. You eat too much, she becomes overly attached, same thing. You stop eating, you argue with her, but in the end you make up. FYI I'm not a professional song lyric writer, I just thought that there should be a funnier side to this
