Them Airs are an amorphous squadron of musical hotboys based in southern Connecticut and bent on making a big filthy mess. Their ever-changing, difficult-to-place sound has earned them comparisons to both Slint and Tears For Fears.Originally dubbed Mirror Waves, the project began in 2017 as the solo endeavor of frontman Cade Williams with occasional contributions from locals Evan Nork and Adam Cohen. At the tail end of the year, Mirror Waves released its debut album Can't Pave Love, a work of Audacity-recorded bedroom shoegaze which resembled walking head first into an unpleasant boiling hot glitter hailstorm.
