THEM AIRS

Junior Crisis 1977 Lyrics

He scrawled in weird psychedelic hand lettering “use your plow” again and again on the back porch where you can see the dog through the window
He kept telling me how she would usually stop by on weekdays but she hadn't shown up yet
And he stood there waiting all night by the rocky coastline until he was shot into the sky by unknown forces
Up there you can see everything
Blocks and streets getting smaller and smaller
Schoolchildren busting out down the sidewalks
An elderly salesclerk vomiting in his hands, the details not quite clear enough from the altitude
Eventually the entire cityscape begins to look like a pie chart and you being to lose breath, but it's a sacrifice that must be made if one wishes to aviate like he did on that cold day in 1977
They haven't found him but small gashes and ruptures still appear on his childhood blanket gathering dust in the corner of a wood lined closet next to the film canisters and artillery shells
