South East London-based rapper Brandon Scott professionally known as Swarmz, is a British rapper, singer and professional boxer. Born in Greenwich in 1997, Swarmz was heavily inspired by the music his family was listening to, including a variety of Jamaican artists. He and his friends had begun rapping by the time he was attending school. Although he initially went by the name Swarmzy-B, he shortened it to Swarmz when he started making music professionally. His breakthrough single, "Lyca," was released in 2018; after it went viral, he was signed to Virgin Records.
