Scots-born Patsy Whyte not only co-writes and sings her own songs, she is also an author, with one book, her gritty memoir No Easy Road, to her name.Patsy was born in 1955 in a one-time army barracks condemned unfit for human habitation. One of a family of 10 traveller children torn apart by the state, she grew up in a children's home in Aberdeen which she left aged 15.Angry, naive and ill-prepared, but with a will to survive, which would be tested to the limit, Patsy rubbed shoulders with the rich and powerful and the poorest in the land as she struggled to make her way in an uncaring world.
