The band formed under the name Glu Gun in 1991 in Los Angeles, California; just two years after Bob Oedy's project The Grim broke up in 1989. They started performing concerts in local venues in 1992-1993 and soon signed to Mike Ness (of Social Distortion)'s label Posh Boy Records then released their first album Just Gl├╝ It in early spring 1994. The line-up for this era was Bob Oedy (vocals), Jeff Roberts (guitars), Chris Long (guitars), Pete Newbury (bass) and Jeff Edwards (drums).After the release of their first album, the name Glu Gun was renamed to their current name Glue Gun.
