Conceived, born and raised in Groningen, Netherlands, currently living in Rotterdam. Fuck the Writer is a one-man band by Emil van Steenwijk. Emil started experimenting with tape recorders to tell his story. In the winter of '03/'04 that lead to the release of an album which he recorded in his bedroom called "Maar Ik Dans Niet".After that, a period of researching and experimenting lead to a move to Amsterdam, where he lived for a year.
