Filmmaker is a Canadian foursome that came together quickly in the wake of the breakup of bassist Michael Dawson and drummer Troy Bjorndal's band.The addition of vocalist/guitarist Carl Johnson and guitarist Andrew Chevrier was integral to the group's inception. Johnson's melodic singing coupled with Dawson's lyrics allowed the Saskatchewan-based band to become a Western Canadian cult favorite. They gained notoriety through the MP3.com website, which lead to the release of a 2001 EP Break This Fall.
