Ylvis I Will Never Be A Star Lyrics

[Verse 1]
They're amazing, don't you think?
So incredibly talented
So many hits on YouTube
So many things to live up to

[Verse 2]
They're amazing, don't you think?
My two older brothers
They've had a wonderful career
But I was never asked to join them

[Bridge]
Oh God, how can it be?
Those assholes did not ask me?

[Hook 1]
I will never be a star
I will never ever do a concert
Never perform with an audience
I'll never stand alone on stage
I wouldn't have the nerve to do it
Guess I would f*ck it up anyway
I will never be a star

[Verse 3]
I have some tricks up my sleeve
How I wish that I can show them
I spin a pen around my thumb
And then I grab it with my index

[Verse 4] I want to show it
But I know I can't
Cause the live audience
Gives me nerves here I stand
I tremble, I sweat
Shivers run down my spine
As I stretch out my arm and prepare

[Hook 2]
That's why I'll never be a star
I wouldn't know how to move my body
I would be stiff as a traffic light
I will never be a star
I wouldn't know how to top the chorus
With lots of smoke going everywhere

[Verse 5]
Okay, listen up everyone!
I know you enjoyed my pen trick
And it's real easy, you can learn it too
Just go to YouTube and search for "pen trick"
That's what I did!

[Hook 3]
I will never be a star
You better believe it
Cause I mean it
I will never be
I will never be a star
