Sunny Ledfurd Long Weekend Lyrics

[Verse 1]
It's gonna be a long weekend I gotta a lot of drinking to do
Don't you call me up tomorrow I got some pain to get through
I got off work on Thursday, and she left last Tuesday night
So I headed down town to this bar I know with one thing on my mind
I ran into a couple old girlfriends they were drinkin' on some wine
They asked me to sit and talk for a while I said "I got plenty of time"

[Chorus]
It's gonna be a long weekend I gotta a lot of drinking to do
Don't you call me on Friday morning I got some pain to get through
It's gonna be a long weekend, and I got nothing to lose
So if you ain't scared come hang out with me

[Verse 2]
Friday morning she was just and excuse 'cause I didn't wanna go to work
But the more I kept gettin' down the more that she did hurt
I was at Hooters when they opened up laughed at me for what it's worth
I drank about seven pitchers before they finally cut me off

[Chorus]
It's gonna be a long weekend I gotta a lot of drinking to do Don't you call me on Saturday morning I got some pain to get through
It's gonna be a long weekend, and I got nothing to lose
So if you ain't scared come hang out with me

[Verse 3]
Saturday morning didn't feel too good, don't even know how I got home
My head hurts and I feel so bad don't even care that you're gone
I'm gonna be sittin' at a bar again with an ice cold soda and Crown
And after I had about six of those I'll give Hooters another round

[Chorus]
It's gonna be a long weekend I gotta a lot of drinking to do
Don't you call me on Sunday morning I got some pain to get through
It's gonna be a long weekend, and I got nothing to lose
So if you ain't scared come hang out with me

It's gonna be a long weekend I gotta a lot of drinking to do
Don't you call me on Sunday morning I got some pain to get through
It's gonna be a long weekend, and I got nothing to lose
So if you ain't scared come hang out with me
