I don't know if Robert Gordon is the original writer of the lyrics for this sone - release date 1980, but I do know Ricky Nelson recorded it prior to 1969 on the 'b' side of a 45RPM, because I mimed it at a High School talent show. I can not however find any LP on which it was released.
