Passenger One Foot In Front Of The Other Lyrics

Well my father looked for love in a whiskey glass
And women with sad eyes and empty hearts
I still remember the day he passed
Drinking like the end of a draught

My mother left home when I was a kid
She promised it was nothing that I said or did
I ran upstairs to my room and hid
I don't think I ever came out
To see what it was all about
So I'll put one foot in front of the other
And my heart upon my sleeve
I'm gonna take a leap of faith
And find the courage to believe
Tell my wife how much I love her
And I'm sorry I had to leave
But I'm gonna walk until I find my feet

Well I worked at the brewery 9 to 5
Every damn day of my adult life
I never made friends never socialised
No one really knew me at all

I was never taught to love so I couldn't teach A son that was always out of my reach
Like when he nearly drowned I just stood on the beach
Staring like a slack jawed Fool
I didn't do nothing at all

So I'll put one foot in front of the other
And my heart upon my sleeve
I'm gonna take a leap of faith
And find the courage to believe
Tell my wife how much I love her
And I'm sorry I had to leave
But I'm gonna walk until I find my feet
So I'll put one foot in front of the other
And my heart upon my sleeve
I'm gonna take a leap of faith
And find the courage to believe
Tell my wife how much I love her
And I'm sorry I had to leave
But I'm gonna walk until I find my feet

Yeah I'm gonna walk until I find my feet
Yeah I'm gonna walk until I find my feet
