An old concert band played a tune
From a cavernous anteroom
Somewhere beneath the snow
And they laid heavy hoods upon my eyes
They only knew lullabies
A cold wind began to blow
And as the cold wind blew
I sang along to their soothing familiar song
Waiting for day to break
And as the band played on
I felt a warmth like I'd never felt before
I had someone to stay awake for
I sank a long way down into an ashen heap
And there I offered God my soul to keep
