Pretty sure this song is about impregnating a prostitute down by the old abandoned part of town. Old main drag suggests it is no longer the main part of town. And he talks of swelling and knock me up.

Its about getting caught up with a wonderful girl in the middle of nature. Things are great and amazing and then challenges hit and they are beat down. But it is worth it for satisfaction.
