Darius Rucker 3 Am In Carolina Lyrics

[Verse 1]
It's midnight in California
Been drinkin' all day with my friends
We met a group of pretty girls from Georgia
A couple guys from Amsterdam
It was all night or use my discretion
So I slipped out and slipped on home
I was just gonna leave you a message
But I was so damn glad you picked up the phone 'cause

[Chorus]
Right now, I'm spinnin' like a barstool
Right now, I'm missin' your pretty smile
In the back of a cab in the carpool lane
Goin' insane 'cause it's been a while
Since I told you that I love you, and I still do
Wish I was layin' right beside ya
Just had to let you know, but I'll let you go
I know it's 3 am in Carolina
[Verse 2]
Since I got you, there's some things that I wanna say
I didn't wanna leave you, didn't make me wanna stay
Don't get me wrong, I made you cry more than I made you laugh
If I didn't, I wouldn't be here saying that

[Chorus]
Right now, I'm spinnin' like a barstool
Right now, I'm missin' your pretty smile In the back of a cab in the carpool lane
Goin' insane 'cause it's been a while
Since I told you that I love you, and I still do
Wish I was layin' right beside ya
Just had to let you know, but I'll let you go
I know it's 3 am in Carolina
Uh, 3 am in Carolina
Oh yeah, now

[Bridge]
Right now, I'm wantin' you so bad
Right now, I really wanna change my life
Right now, I'm thinkin' 'bout takin' that
Get you back on the next LAX red-eye flight

[Chorus]
Right now, I'm spinnin' like a barstool
Right now, I'm missin' your pretty smile
In the back of a cab in the carpool lane
Goin' insane 'cause it's been a while
Since I told you that I love you, and I still do
Wish I was layin' right beside ya
Just had to let you know, but I'll let you go
I know it's 3 am in Carolina
It's 3 am in Carolina
Yeah
[Outro]
It's midnight in California
I've been drinkin' all day with my friends now, oh
