i turned all the lights off
and tried to find my way around,
i stuffed my ears with cotton
so i couldn't hear a sound
i covered my mouth with tape

i had to prove to everyone
i could do this by myself

to see if we could work it out
we sweat and slaved and with all we gave this is all that came out
a highwire act with acrobats
