- Starting Over Lyrics

Got to face your fear
lying on the floor
Step into nothing, what the hell am I here for?
So come on and play
Stab me in my heart
So long this time was wasted ripping me apart

We are the hurt inside your head
Lost in the void of what is dead
Constantly twisting things I said
Happiness is boring, need pain instead

It's starting over, starting over
Can't stand it's over, God is gonna take me out
My time is over, this time is over
Why is this over? God is gonna take me out

(God is gonna take me out)

Crawling on the floor
All around this space
Talking to myself
What is this thing I've got to face?
Walking through a door
Has it been a waste?
Going on and on thinking I could find my place

We are the hurt inside your head
Lost in the void of what is dead
Constantly twisting things I said
Happiness is boring, need pain instead

It's starting over, starting over
Can't stand it's over, God is gonna take me out
My time is over, this time is over
Why is this over? God is gonna take me out

God is gonna take me out (God is gonna take me out)
God is gonna take me out

You can't see
I'm torn away from you and everything that's
close to me
I cannot face the truth, it's nothing that
I believe
Just run away from me and thank me when you're
free from me
Come take me

Come take me
Come take me
Come take me
Come take me

Come take me (We are the hurt inside your head)
(Lost in the void of what is dead)
Come take me (Constantly twisting things I said)
(Happiness is boring, need pain instead)
Come take me (We are the hurt inside your head)
(Lost in the void of what is dead)
Come take me (Constantly twisting things I said)
(Happiness is boring, need pain instead)

What is the meaning behind Starting Over lyrics?

When we interpret the meaning being expressed, Korn's 'Starting Over' tells about and expresses the feelings of a person who goes through conflicts and struggles within and feels like being captured in a loop of pain and meaningless existence. The lyrics narrate a person's wish for a new beginning, their eagerness to get rid of the suffering and to have a peaceful heart, even if it means going for a radical change or running away from the present state of mind. Starting over lyrics reflect mostly angst, heartbreak, despair, reflection, and solitude. Nevertheless, the song also highlights the struggle for identity and purpose, the experience of pain and suffering, and the longing for escape. The lyrics deal with themes of emotional pain, existential contemplation, and even self-harm and distress, which could be very inappropriate for kids below 13 years old. The heaviness of the themes implies a need for parental supervision.

I love this song. Must have been written by a genius. I think this song is about a person maybe coming to terms with their mortality ,....or they feel like death is coming for them. Hope I'm not too far off.
