Hudson Westbrook Backwards Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I start my mornings with whiskey
End my nights on caffeine
Ain't right but it gets me right
Feelin' happy on Whitley
Gettin' low on mary jane
Yeah anything these days to get me by

[Chorus]
You left me high up in where rock bottom is
I never knew your silence could say so much
I sleep on the other side of this cold king size
So maybe I'll stop reaching for your touch
Since you ain't been around
I've been upside down and backwards

[Verse 2]
You left fast but you burned slow
Time ticks at a standstill
I hold on to the let go, I don't know why
I've been lost in my own house
Is it sunrise or sundown?
I'm lit up with the lights out
Just how you left me, whеn [Chorus]
You left me high up in wherе rock bottom is
I never knew your silence could say so much
I sleep on the other side of this cold king size
So maybe I'll stop reaching for your touch
Since you ain't been around
I've been upside down and backwards

[Chorus]
You left me high up in where rock bottom is
I never knew your silence could say so much
I sleep on the other side of this cold king size
So maybe I'll stop reaching for your touch
Since you ain't been around
I've been upside down and backwards

[Outro]
I start my mornings with whiskey
Start my nights with caffeine
Ain't right but it gets me right
