Noah could have viewed his sons wives as his daughters. As a parent, I view mine as daughters, not just daughters in law.

I wanted to tell Stephanie that she is MOSTLY correct. One of Noah's sons--Shem--was the ancestor to the Semitic seed line. You are correct about Abraham's seed, but the Semites (Arabs and Jews) are indeed directly descended from Shem. Of course, they were not called Israelites yet
