Hidden Blvd Socks (I Made A List) Lyrics

Verse 1:
I made a list
I made a list
I cant believe how insanely that they missed
I specifically gave the description and the why
Even sent the Amazon link just to click and buy
But when the time, came to shake the box
I instantly knew, that it was socks

Chorus
I made a list, He made a list
I made a list, He made a list
did anybody think to check before they bought that gift
I must insist, he will insist
Reread that list, just take a glimpse
I'm certain
You'll find no socks on that list
I made a list, I made a list
Maybe next year they'll do better

Verse 2
I'm pretty miffed
About this gift
Not only were there socks, but matching mitts
What a hideous, multicolored, Christmas surprise
I checked the tag in hopes it was not my size
Oh how i wish I could put them back in the box
And re-gift these ugly socks Bridge
You might not always get what you want
But just might get what you need.
What can be more important
Then protection for your feet
The moment I opened this thoughtful gift
I Immediately felt defeat
Oh I hope deep within my heart
That Santa keeps receipts

Verse 3:
It's safe to say I made my case
And I hope I made things clear
Fingers crossed
That Mr Claus
Gets it right next year

Chorus:
I made a list, He made a list
I made a list, He made a list
did anybody think to check before they bought that gift
I must insist, he will insist
Reread that list, just take a glimpse
I'm certain
You'll find no socks on that list
I made a list, I made a list
Maybe next year they'll do better

Outro x2:
Joy to the world
All boys and girls
