Eartheater Practical Amnesia Lyrics

Lyrics from Instagram Post

[Chorus]
I see the scar
I see the drain pump puncture
My memory recites the story
But I, I can't remember
I've forgotten the pain
It's a funny thing
A funny thing
Evolution's practical amnesia

[Verse]
In any other scenario, we're predisposed
To viscerally recall the trauma
I know it was like 10 million wasp stings
Around my g-string
But in my memory, it was the kiss of a butterfly wing
It's a function so that I might
Do it again

[Chorus]
There's a picture of me packing the wound
And draining the grenade
That's my house, and those are my clothes But I don't recognize the face
I've forgotten the pain
It's a funny thing
A funny thing
Evolution's practical amnesia

[Verse]
In any other scenario, we're predisposed
To viscerally recall the sting
I know it was like 10 million wasp stings
Around my g-string
But in my memory, it was the kiss of a butterfly wing
It's a function so that I might
Do it again

[Chorus]
I see the scar
I see the drain pump puncture
My memory recites the story
But I, I can't remember
I've forgotten the pain
It's a funny thing
A funny thing
Evolution's practical amnesia
