What adds on a number of years to your life,
What is it that multiplies days?
You find favor with God when it's found,
And financially it surely pays.
Wisdom and understanding are they
That lead you into life;
They love you when you love them first,
They are daily God's delight.

I want to be wise,
I want understanding,
I do want my life to be pleasing to God.
I'll listen to God and heed His advice.
I value the wisdom, I value God's Word;
I choose to obey.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of it,
And it's the knowledge of the wise.
With teaching the just will get smarter,
They'll hate evil, arrogance and pride.
Wisdom existed before earth began,
Before God's works of old;
To have it is better than all of earth's gems,
And knowledge rather than gold. I want to be wise,
I want understanding,
