Know me, broken by my master
Teach thee, on child of love hereafter
Into the flood again
Same old trip it was back then
So I made a big mistake
Try to see it once my way
Drifting body, it's sole desertion
Flying, not yet quite the notion
Into the flood again
Same old trip it was back then
So I made a big mistake
Try to see it once my way
Into the flood again
Same old trip it was back then
So I made a big mistake
Try to see it once my way
Am I wrong?
Have I run too far to get home?
Have I gone and left you here alone?
Am I wrong?
Have I run too far to get home?
Have I gone and left you here alone?
If I would, could you?
It is first released on September 29, 1992 as part of Alice In Chains's album "Dirt" which includes 13 tracks in total. ✔️
What is the meaning behind Would lyrics?
When we think about what all of this might truly mean, the track 'Would' by the grunge band Alice In Chains explores issues like self-examination, remorse, and doubt about one's choices. The lines give out a feeling of deep sadness, questioning what might have been, whether it would have turned out different, and if forgiveness was possible, all this in a mournful atmosphere. The lyrics of the song mainly focus on matters like heartbreak, the feeling of being upset, thinking over one's life, being by oneself, and even love. Besides pointing out regret and reflection as important factors in the song, it also implies isolation and longing. The song is full of self-exploration and emotional difficulty which are unfit for the very young ones. The absence of vulgar language or graphic content does not mean that the themes would not be appropriate for young children unless there is a parent's supervision. ✔️
If the lyrics are really meant to say blood then it all makes sense.. All of his songs he's crying for help. Drugs take your body over. R.I.P mom and Layne

The real lyrics are into the blood again, same old trip it was back then. MTV refused to play the video so the studio version was changed to into the flood again. Listen to it live, they say blood.

I'm curious what was on Layne's mind when he would sing this song considering it was the same drug that took down Andrew Wood. Music in the early-mid 90's will never be duplicated.

This song is about Andrew Wood (of Mother Love Bone)He died in 1990. That's why it's called Would(wood)Hence the name. The lyrics do make sence.
