What is the meaning behind Man In The Box lyrics?
When we reflect on what the artist might have meant, the track 'Man In The Box' by Alice In Chains expresses a feeling of being trapped and suffocated through the symbols of being alive inside a coffin and having one’s eyes stitched shut. The words enact a conflict for deliverance and a wish to come out from a situation that is repressive and dehumanizing. The lyrics of 'Man In The Box' highlight mostly the feelings of frustration, hopelessness, loneliness, thinking, and rage. Besides, the song conveys the notion of continually being overwhelmed by the situation and yearning for deliverance, the fight with one’s identity and existence, the suffering and pain. The lyrics include themes suitable only for adults, strong language and may even be interpret as quite unsettling or shocking, such as references to violence and self-inflicted injuries. The constant cry for help and the picture of being buried under one’s own problems point to a more somber emotional setting that is appropriate for an adult audience. ✔️

He and I loved this many emotion rode between him foresure after he came back from crossing the finest line I loved the power of the emotion inknowingly he was fighting being the man in the box after he couldht face his biggest sin sweeping it beneath the rug I I didnt read the between the lines being caught in the power burning me with hid riding those waves again

The man in the box means a lot of things mostly he's seen too many horrible things going on in his life time like a lot of people have and he doesn't want to see anymore he's seen enough that's why he wants his eyes sewn shut,,,deny your maker Jesus Christ and you will be wasted simple enough they know he's for real and you will be wasted you deny him, he that is the Son of God and man from Israel, Jesus was the 13th disciple I know this to be true so do they and so will a lot of people one of these days.

It's about Layne's addiction to drugs. Read about how he died. Addicts would like to quit, but how? It's a cry for help. Save me, save me, Jesus Christ.

Buried in my PIT and Shove my nose in SPIT. I think are the correct lyrics... from the versions I've heard and seen. Good work otherwise!
