Tommy Giles Rogers, Jr. started his musical career in 1999 in Charlotte, NC as a guitarist for the metalcore band Prayer for Cleansing. When the band broke up in 2000, Rogers and guitarist Paul Waggoner co-founded the progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me. After establishing a full lineup, the band released a three-song demo and a self-titled debut in 2002. In 2004, Rogers released an electronica album for his side project Giles. Rogers was a vocalist for the metal band From Here On and has appeared in numerous other musical projects including the influential metal band Undying.
