Katia B Lyrics

Katia Bronstein grew up in the Ipanema beach neighborhood during the late 60's and early 70's. Her mother used to take part in bossa nova 'roundups' at bars and parties during the very birth of this music style. Later she sung in the choirs of female voices on Egberto Gismonti's early recordings. Music was always an issue at her home and she started to follow classes at an early age, giving in her passion for singing. Katia also gave way to performing arts by studying dance and theatre and by taking part in a very famous group of young 'avant-garde' artists in Rio de Janeiro (at the beginning of the 80's).
