Been a singer / songwriter since I was 11 or 12. Used to record myself with a guitar onto one of those old cassette decks and then play it back and sing with it while recording onto a second one. Learned how to harmonize that way. Kept bouncing the track back and forth to add more harmonies and other guitar parts until the sound quality diminished so much that only I could decipher what was going on. To everyone else, I guess it was like "tuneful mud". Spent my teens and early 20s writing, recording and performing.
