The song, to me, has a hum-drum, lazy afternoon feel. I appreciate the melancholy tune complimenting the lyrics that describe an otherwise-ordinary evening, charmed by a summer breeze. It makes me think of the hazy days of my young childhood - eating cereal in the morning, the kitchen warm from the sun on the other side of the curtain, beckoning my sister and I out to play ... excited to go out and explore, play in the grassy fields near our yard, finding wild rhubarb and strawberries. Things seemed so innocent and hopeful and our family was intact. The song reminds me of the wonderful "rut" of family life - the coming back together at the end of the day - that felt so good back then and that I wished could have lasted forever.

remember this like yesterday of great precious memories in my lifetime......espec the part about the jasmine in my mind as the smell of jasmine did linger while playing aloud and in our hearts and left us a peaceful and smiling way of life

You can never be sure what inspires an artist, even if they tell you up front what they were trying to communicate. I'm going to go out on a limb here though and say it's about a refreshing summer breeze, perhaps one happening in the evening hours of the day. It's either that or scuba diving. I can't decide.
