This is the first time I have ever read the lyrics, but I distinctly remember singing this song note for note with a room full of people. I have never seen a single episode from season 1 of the anime, but when I watch the intro, I feel nostalgic for it. It's like this song is just inherently KNOWN. The love for Pokemon has become ingrained into the human genome. The power behind this song has spanned generations. When this song plays, hearts and minds are one in their love for Pokemon. Man, woman, child, gender-confused individual, or self-aware robot, this song unites us. People at school make fun of me for watching Pokemon. What they don't know, is that I have replaced them with digital creatures made to fight each other and build relationships with humans. Pokemon are better than people, sometimes. To be honest, sometimes I with I was a wild Pokemon so I could burn those who do evil things. As a proud Pokemon Master, I say to you. If people pat you down just for your love of Pocket Monsters, tell them that you are replacing them with a digital creature that can kill people quite easily if it were real.
