FRANK SINATRA

My Way Lyrics

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain

I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes there were times I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out, I faced it all
And I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way

For what is a man what has he got
If not himself then he has not
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Yes it was my way

My reply to nnb: I do not know if that is the case or not. I believe it's all about overcoming obstacles. The fact he says "I did it my way," well, that could mean either he's being self-glorifying out of selfishness, or he's proud of his accomplishments because he overcame those obstacles.

I had a lot of struggles myself, but I overcame them, too.

I have always loved this song, but in the end when he says, to say that things he truly feels and not the worlds of one who kneels. What does that suppost to mean, not doing what God wants us to do, I am not sure I agree with that. what do you think.

it reflects personal experiences in life. Mainly,to own up to what fate has in store, and paddle your own canoe.Even if you fail. Get up,again and with perseverance,at least you did it and suceeded.

I'm going to sing this song for my senro year talent show since it WILL be my final curtain. It will show my friends that I lived my school years to the fullest of my life because I did it my way.

This song is playing on my car stereo while I'm screwing the dean's daughter. Regrets? Nah, I did it my way.

I never cared for Frank Sinatra or his music until I reached six decades of life. Now I see the truth and richness of his music. I guess 'That's Life.'
