Excuse me, isn't the "cake" referring to the fact he's always between at least two girls at the same time? Isn't "sharing" the cake referring to let someone else take any girl of this cake?
If so, I'd wait before defining this song so awful because it summarizes quite well one of the problems the boys pay biggest attention to today, which is choosing the right girl between the ones he knows (if we can call it problem).
Instead we could say that the society which tries to convince girls that they should love "cakes" is awful.

I absolutely love the song by Borgore! And the fact that Miley Cyrus is in that makes it 10x better. it's an awesome metaphor and I'm so happy that he chose his dubstep family.
