Musicians often participate in the creation of video games. Their involvement can take various forms, such as composing original soundtracks, creating in-game music, contributing to game themes, and even making cameo appearances as virtual performers within the game. In this article, we want to talk about how musicians work closely with the gaming industry.

In addition to their collaboration with game developers, musicians have found a unique way to contribute to the gaming experience through music in games. Boosting services, such as those offered by companies like skycoach.gg, play a significant role in helping players overcome challenges and unlock new levels of gameplay. Just as skilled musicians create captivating soundtracks that immerse players in the virtual worlds, boosting services provide support and expertise to elevate players' performance and enhance their gaming journey. Together, the fusion of music in games and the assistance of boosting services creates a harmonious blend, enriching the overall gaming experience and ensuring that players can fully appreciate the artistry and excitement that the gaming industry has to offer.

League of Virtual Performers
Riot, the creators of League of Legends, has been collaborating with the American rock band Imagine Dragons for a long time. The band's music can be heard in the LoL advertisement, in the intro of the Arcane series, and the musicians themselves appear in one of the episodes on the streets of Zaun. But within the League of Legends universe, there are fictional teams with very real songs.

Many, if not all, have heard of the K/DA virtual band - their POP/STARS video on the League of Legends channel outperforms the once iconic Gorillaz in popularity. Behind the images of the painted singers are members of the K-pop group (G)I-DLE and YouTube cover stars Jayra Burns and Madison Beer.

Back in 2014, the Pentakill project appeared in the world of League of Legends. The group, which includes heavy rock mastodons, has already released three albums. For nearly seven years, members of several popular rock bands have recorded on Pentakill albums, including Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. But the only musician who participated in the recording of all three albums is the Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande, the voice of frontman Karthus. Over a nearly thirty-year career, he has released nine solo albums, collaborated with the bands Ark and Masterplan, and sings regularly in the Avantasia project.

Do you know these people?
In Alan Wake, the song War is played on the radio, and the station's DJ notes the similarity of the sound with the old band - Old Gods of Asgard. It exists only in the universe of the game Remedy, has a written history of musicians - the brothers Odin and Thor Anderson - and appears in one of the episodes of the game. Five different tracks are featured in the original and the standalone American Nightmare expansion. The singles can be found, for example, on the YouTube Music page.

The songs written for the Remedy games deviate from the usually rather quiet style of Poets of the Fall and gravitate towards metal. The latest creation of the Old Gods of Asgard at the moment is Take Control, which sounds in one of the most memorable episodes of the Control action.

Poets of the Fall is by no means the first, not the last, and probably not the most famous real-life band to be so actively involved in the work of music for video games. In 2016, the German metal band Blind Guardian recorded a song and published a video for the RPG The Dwarves - Children of the Smith. The game is based on the books of the writer Markus Heitz, in collaboration with whom the musicians have been trying to create a concept symphonic album for many years and eventually released it in 2019 under the name Legacy of the Dark Lands.

A more modern and perhaps the most well-known to the general public example of the collaboration of real musicians with the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 is a large part of the main plot and a number of side quests. We are talking about the Samurai group, which appeared in the original tabletop RPG. It was in this group that Johnny Silverhand played during his lifetime along with Kerry Eurodyne. In one of the plot episodes, the team will come together for one concert, in which V will take the stage instead of the deceased Johnny. To make the Samurai legend more credible, CD Projekt RED enlisted the support of the Swedish band Refused, who play mostly hardcore punk with songs on social topics. The perfect choice to embody the rebellious spirit of Silverhand's music. A full album for Cyberpunk 2077 was never recorded, but Samurai's songs are played in the game in clubs, in story episodes, on the radio in the car, and are available on digital services as four singles. The most famous with a high degree of certainty can be called Chippin 'In.

90s
Phil Collins' participation took part in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories on PSP. The game also has a quest related to saving the musician from the killers and a virtual concert. Or the action movie Brutal Legend - hard rock from game designer Tim Schaefer and actor Jack Black. Wanted to see Ozzy Osbourne in a video game - go for it.

It's hard to mention everyone in one article because, in fact, every game has a musical collaboration. Perhaps your favorites are among those listed.
