It consisted of Dave Edmunds (vocals, guitar), Nick Lowe (vocals, bass guitar), Billy Bremner (vocals, guitar), and Terry Williams (drums). The group being noted for strong rockabilly and power pop influences, Rockpile tunes are often labeled as just by either Nick Lowe or Dave Edmunds in various album re-releases given how they were composed.Formed around the partnership of Lowe with Edmunds, the two musicians inspired by melodic 50s and 60s rock n roll, the band took its name from the title of a 1972 album by Edmunds.
