Rie Tanaka (田中理恵, born January 3, 1979 in Sapporo, Japan), is a Japanese voice actress and vocalist. Her debut as a singer came in 1998, when she won the grand prix in the vocalist audition held by Media Works and Scitronsang, and got the chance to perform the song 永遠の親友 featured in the Playstation game Yukyu Gensokyoku. A year later she released two drama CDs, which included some songs and demos. Her first full-length album titled garnet was released in 2001, and included several anime insert songs that she had performed at that time.
