All four members (Brandon Gillum - Vocals, Eric Moyal - Guitar/Vocals, Chris Trevisin - Bass/Vocals & Jason Dean - Drums) of Heavy Trevy & the Not So Fat Kids graduated together from Poway High School in the spring of 2000. Shortly thereafter the band put out a ten-song demo that sold approximately 2,200 copies in their hometown cities of Poway, Rancho Bernardo, and Rancho Penasquitos. It was at this point roughly one year after the band’s formation that their demo had found it's way to former Mercury Records president Ed Eckstine (Vanessa Williams, Bon Jovi).
