There are at least 6 bands with the name Golden.1- Oberlin, OH's Golden. It came together in 1993 with Ian Eagleson (guitar/vocals), Alex Minoff (guitar/vocals), Philip Manley (bass), and Jon Theodore (drums) while attending a local city college. In between studying overseas and various side projects, Golden managed to keep it together. The band's first recordings were two math rockish singles on Harrisburg, PA's Proteen Records. An eponymous album appeared in 1998 on TransSolar; Super Golden Original Movement followed the next year, while the cool pop swirl of Golden Summer was issued in 2000.
