Dame Four was (the group split up around ending part of 2005) an R&B/Hip-Hop quartet consisting of Jamila "Mila J" Chilombo, Tomasina Parrot, Tennille Mathis, & Mercedes Nelson.Their name was formerly "Dame" but was changed to Dame Four around the time their debut video was released because of another musical act having the same name.Dame Four was brought together by TUG manager Chris Stokes, who also discovered Immature/IMx & B2K.Jamila "Mila J" Chilombo was originally signed under TUG during the years of 1995-1997 as a member of the group GYRL, first with her sister Miyoko & play "cousin" Paulette, then with Miyoko, Jenee, & Tai-Amber.
