Brandyn Nicholas Hazelton was born on November 27, 1989 in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. At the age of one, his parents moved their family to the small town of Epsom, just north of Toronto. During his early life, Brandyn showed little interest in brass and woodwind instruments, achieving only average marks in music. However at the age of 15, after seeing his cousin play an old acoustic guitar, a keen interest was sparked within him, compelling him to pick up the instrument.Teaching himself to play, from that point on he showed a great passion for music, as he was constantly inspired by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Heart and Guns N Roses.
