Bing Bong Brothers are a hip hop duo consisting of Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone. Along with Andy Samberg, they are the comedy trio The Lonely Island. Samberg would go on to join the cast of SNL, with Akiva and Jorma being hired as writers, after an unfortunate failed attempt to start their own sketch comedy TV show called "Awesometown". The three are now famous for SNL's popular Digital Shorts, which they write and direct themselves, and in which Samberg typically stars. Samberg and Taccone also starred in the 2007 movie Hot Rod, with Schaffer directing.The Lonely Island only recorded one song as Bing Bong Brothers.
