Begin Again Lyrics

Took a deep breath in the mirror
He didn't like it when I wore high heels, but I do
Turned the lock and put my headphones on
He always said he didn't get this song but I do, I do

Walked in expecting you'd be late
But you got here early
And you stand and wait
And I walk to you
You pulled my chair out and helped me
And you don't know how nice that is
But I do

And you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny ‘cause he never did
I've been spending the last eight months thinking all love ever does
Is break and burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a café I watched it begin again

You said you never met one girl
Who has as many James Taylor records as you
But I do
We tell stories and you don't know why I'm coming off a little shy
But I do

But you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny ‘cause he never did
I've been spending the last eight months thinking all love ever does
Is break and burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a café I watched it begin again

And we walk down the block to my car
And I almost brought him up
But you start to talk about the movies
That your family watches every single Christmas
And I won't talk about that
For the first time, what's past is past

‘Cause you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny ‘cause he never did
I've been spending the last eight months thinking all love ever does
Is break and burn and end
Then on a Wednesday in a café I watched it begin again
Then on a Wednesday in a café I watched it begin again

You have to go through drama just to be happy, the school work and home work is chaous. And you are constinaly having to think of your future, and achiving your goals. There is barley any time for just plain old fun.

This song resembles a new start after a heart breaking relationship, the girl loses her faith from love becoz of her lover's betrayal, bt afterwards, she finds someone very different who again brings back her smile n she sees that love, in her life, has begun again

I love this song the meaning of the song is how she compares the boy she met in the cafe to her ex boyfriend and from what the lyrics say i dont think her ex boyfriend is very nice its sooooo cute how he is soo much different to her ex and her ex reminds me so much of my ex but he was more difficult

I can relate to this song so much right now. It's exactly what happened to me last week (except it was on a Friday and that I had lost faith in love for much more than 8 months). When I saw her beautiful sparkling eyes looking at me, I knew love was real after all. Can't wait to see her again.
