MARMALADE

Reflections Of My Life Lyrics

The changing of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life, oh how they fill my eyes
The greetings of people in trouble
Reflections of my life, oh how they fill my eyes

All my sorrow, sad tomorrow
Take me back to my old home
All my cryin', feel I'm dyin', dyin'
Take me back, to my old home

I'm changin', arrangin', I'm changin'
I'm changin' everything, ah everything around me
The world is a bad place, a bad place
A terrible place to live, oh but I don't wanna die

All my sorrow, sad tomorrow
Take me back to my old home
All my cryin', feel I'm dyin', dyin'
Take me back, to my old home

All my sorrow, sad tomorrow
Take me back to my old home
All my cryin', feel I'm dyin', dyin'
Take me back, to my old home

I very much like this song. It could apply to many situations. Meaning is the reflection of our own lives in something that touches us.

I can't disagree with scott... the era of it's writing & performance by the Marmalade lends itself heavily to that. However, short of having been in the Vietnam war, I expect it reflects the deep sense of pain and suffering and an even greater sense of hope in the mindset of the writer - performer.

It seems pretty clear to me, that this song descibes looking into the thoughts and through the eyes of a US soldier fighting in vietnam. What great vocals and an incredible song.
